Ossabaw Island

Ossabaw Island, Savannah, Georgia 1986

A series of re-vegetation schemes were employed to stabilize the southeast-end sand dunes, by planting sea oats and wax myrtle. Yaupon was formed into triangular shapes. The entire work was mulched by dead sea oats found in near-by salt marshes. Support was provided by the Ossabaw Foundation. Special thanks to Justin West of Smith college, Northhampton, MA for the video production.
